[she is... in shock, to say the least... standing at the door to what had been her bedroom with wide eyes. the sound of Ed's voice jolts her -- physically, and she looks up with infinite relief.]

E... Ed, are you alright? What's happened...?

[she had been sleeping before the rude awakening, and maybe being a bit groggy is helping right now. sob.]

[oh thank god she's ok. in shock, but ok. didn't look hurt -- not blood, no burns, just shaken. he takes her hand, looking just as relieved as she is.]

I'm fine, but are you ok? Did you get hurt at all? Not really sure what happened. There was some kind of explosion and from what I saw it looks like the town's been leveled.
