[In hindsight, Ed should have planned for this in advance,.he last place he wanted to be today was here. Out of all the days, it had to be this one., but if he didn't show up today he'd get droned and he is never letting that happen again. Ever.

3. October. 11. Never Forget.

What does this mean for Mayfield? Ed is grumpy as hell. Are you a teacher? Is he in your class? You'll find that he's more snappy, argumentative, and disruptive than normal. You might find a ball of paper getting tossed at you (especially if you're Eddie) when you're not paying attention. He might not even be in his desk, he could be wandering around the classroom. Perhaps pulling books off the shelves and flipping through them for lack of anything else to do, not bothering to hide his disgust at the poor quality of the textbooks -- this math was way too easy, he was reading books like this when he was three, why the hell should he care about American history when he's not from the same world?

This will not be an easy day for anyone.]


B. » Action「Mayfield High School Chem Lab ☼ Lunch - End of school」

[As soon as the bell rings for lunch, Ed makes a beeline to the chemistry lab. He'll be there for the entire lunch period, pulling things off of shelves - beakers, chemicals, and whatever else he can get his hands on - making a nice little setup for himself near the back.

When the bell rings for the next class, Ed's still there. In fact he'll be there for the rest of the day, he's skipping everything else. After the final bell rings and everyone else is heading home, you'll still be able to find him here for about an hour or so before he leaves.]


C. » Action「Around Town ☼ Afternoon - Late Evening」

[Ed's wandering around town aimlessly. His eyes are downcast, his hands are shoved in his pockets and it seems like something is really bothering him. Approach?]

[Riza heard about your bad day, Ed. And she might not look it at first glance, but she's very observant and good with dates. It didn't take her more than a few minutes to put together what had Ed in such a foul mood when Roy started grumbling about Ed's behavior in the chemistry lab as soon as she walked in the front door.

So she turned around and headed out in search of Ed, Black Hayate in tow as the obligatory soft and cuddly object, as well as tea. She'd learned her cookies were only just okay with her last attempt at baking. When she found him wandering, she walked up to him, clearing her throat. She of course would have to do nothing else to announce her presence seeing as Hayate is wagging his tail furiously and almost standing on Edward's feet he's so damn excited.]

I thought I'd find you wandering around out here.

Aww Hayate!

[Not practically, he is standing on Ed's feet, but that's ok. He bends down to scratch Hayate behind his ears without bothering to look up to see that Riza's there. Where there is Hayate, there is Riza.]

[On his way back from the forge, the one-legged viking is walking near Ed, not really paying attention, when his prosthetic leg catches on a crack in the sidewalk, causing Hiccup to trip and fall quite gracefully. Except not gracefully at all. He curses quietly and starts to get back up, and sees Ed.]

Oh, hey. Uh. Sorry to get in your way. Or. You know. Whatever.

[He stumbles back a few steps, but for once his temper seems to be in check. He doesn't start screaming, doesn't glare, doesn't give Hiccup so much as an annoyed frown. He seems kind of listless - worn down and too tired to care.

He stoops down and offers his hand to help him up.]

[ Diana's been attending school just like she "should" - to be honest, all the material is boring her to death. So, she had excused herself from her class to go to the nurse, but she made a detour to the library to hang out in it. When the bell rang for lunch, she went downstairs to the chemistry lab to do at least something challenging in it.

Though, she does blink in surprise when she's not alone. She notices Ed and gives him a nod in greeting. ]

It seems like I'm not the only one who does this, then.

He reads a few pages, grumbles loudly, slams it shut and tosses it behind him. Shame the teacher just left. He would've loved to pick a fight with them. He lifts his eyes and SIIIGHS, noticing Aurica watching him.]
